With our relatively small student population, the classroom is where you’ll really reap the rewards. In classes that average 20 students, raised hands are not overlooked.

Our teams have been to the playoffs over 275 times. We’ve won conference, regional, and even national championships. Our student-athletes win on the field, in the classroom, and in the community, and we do it with class and respect.

Nearly 1,100 first-year students chose to live on our bustling campus last year. The Office of Residential Life makes sure your experience is top-notch: we sponsored nearly 700 programs last year.

The University's Career Development Center (CDC) is a comprehensive center that provides complete career development education, advising, preparation, programming, and events to guide students and alumni to academic and career success.

With over 150 Recognized Student Organizations on campus, students had over 9,000 events to choose from last year. 76% of undergraduate students are involved with at least one club or organization!

Over the past decade, we’ve been on the move: the University of New Haven has invested more than $500 million in new construction, infrastructure improvements, and curricular additions to enhance and enrich our students’ educational experience.

We’ve earned a number of well-deserved awards over the last few years. Princeton Review put us in the "Best 386," our engineering programs are ranked by U.S. News, and we're consistently rated military-friendly. Awards aren’t the end-all, be-all, but we think they tell a pretty compelling story about our moves in the right direction.

ChargerREC is all about the students. The Beckerman Recreation Center is a hub of activity on campus, operating 108 hours per week. We offer 21 club sports, 20+ intramural activities, 25+ group fitness classes each week, personal training, massage therapy, wellness programs, 20+ adventure trips, special events, and a variety of other programs/events. We are the largest employer on campus with 150+ student employees serving in a variety of roles.

Our West Haven campus is the perfect jumping off point for all that the Northeast has to offer. Located between New York City, Hartford, and Boston, you’ll be uniquely positioned to do … well, anything.
